We recommend that you remove your dentures or partial before you go to sleep. This break gives your gums and bone time to "breathe" after the pressure of wearing the denture all day long. And remember, you should never wear dentures for 24 hours without performing proper oral hygiene.
Take your dentures out when it's time to clean them. Don't use regular toothpaste because it often contains abrasive materials that damage dentures made of acrylic resin and plastic. Brush your dentures gently every day with a non-abrasive denture cleaner and a special denture brush to clean your dentures by hand.
Most dentures need to stay moist to prevent them from drying out, cracking, or warping. When you're not wearing your dentures, place them in water or a mild denture cleaning solution and let them soak overnight. If you have questions about cleaning your dentures or storing them when not in use, please let us know, and we will be happy to provide you with instructions for proper care and handling.
